I found your website on the Grief and Loss discussion board of the "What to
Expect" website. On April 30th, 2009, at 24 weeks and 1 day pregnant, I went
to the ER with upper stomach pain that I thought was completely unrelated to
my pregnancy. I was diagnosed with a form of preeclampsia called HELLP
syndrome. Three days later, May 3rd, 2009, my precious son Andrew was
delivered by emergency c-section. He was 1 lb 10 oz and 12 1/2 inches long.
Initially, he did very well considering how premature he was. However, as the
days went on, he struggled more and more. On his ninth day of life, Andrew's
struggling ended and he passed away at 10pm on May 12th. My husband and
I grieve the loss of our darling angel every day.
